A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to nonexistent addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the mistyped suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

Setting up a catch-all mailbox will be incredibly easy if you have a shared hosting plan with us. You can activate this option through our advanced, albeit simple-to-use Email Manager tool, which is an indivisible part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you’ll manage the account itself. You will see all the mailboxes that you have created enumerated in alphabetical order and to the right of each one of them there will be a small "Catch-all" icon, which will instantaneously inform you if a specific mailbox stores all the messages associated with a given domain name or not. With a single mouse click on the icon you can enable or disable this option whenever you like. If there is enabled email forwarding or in case another mailbox has already been configured as a catch-all one for a particular domain, you will get a warning note from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all email address can be set up with several clicks in case you have a semi-dedicated plan with our company. The hosting account will be administered through our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel and you’ll be able to set up email addresses with any domain hosted there. To activate the catch-all feature for a certain mailbox, you’ll need to click on the icon with the exact same name, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox. Disabling this functionality can be achieved in the exact same way and will not take more than a click either. In case the catch-all functionality has already been activated for a given domain, you will get a warning note. The same goes if the mailbox that you’d like to be a catch-all one has email forwarding enabled, as our system will never deactivate or replace any feature automatically.
